Very well presented useful information as always. Thanks much Rob! I always examine all those areas but reinforcement to drive the concept home is always appreciated. ;-)

    Hey Rob,

as always a no-brainer! I enjoyed the 30 minutes a lot. You talk about so many important things you have to keep in mind when it comes to recording, arranging and mixing. The presentation is amazing, the before and after comparisons – it’s a completely different ball game! The ebook is so good! Looks better than any schoolbook out there :D Nice to look at, lots of information, well structured and the checklist at the end that can save your life.

Great basic information. It sounds like you might have used some buss compression/eq in the “after” version that was not used in the “before” sample. The “after” version sounds much louder. I would be curious to hear the two versions compared without any buss compression/eq (assuming you did in fact use some in the original “after version”).

Another important lesson, not listed here: Don’t use GarageBand for your recordings! It’s okay for creating, but use Pro Tools or Logic or some such pro/am grade software.

hey Rob! I’ve been raving about your courses, (purchased the bundle and I’m so pumped) the most clear and useful stuff I’ve ever seen…and trust me…I’ve scoured the internet looking for this exact type of thing! Is there a link somewhere to download the two “from demo to pro” clips on the 5 musical mistakes and 5 technical mistakes? I’m wanting to show them to my son, but they keep buffering here. Would be nice to watch seamlessly without it stalling…

Hey, great to hear! At the moment I’ve only got the videos hosted on YouTube which doesn’t allow for downloads unfortunately, so your best bet is to just try pausing the video for a minute or two to allow it to buffer. Hope that works!
